The main objective of SvEnglish.se is to give information about Sweden to newly arrived (or planning to) individuals to Sweden and help them know where is what and how to master life in Sweden.

Every country is different in its way. While most information about Sweden different building blocs is widely availble, it is very difficult to crowl all the websites belonging to individual organizations in Sweden. And some of them don't have short directions targetted specifically to immigrants or tourists who are looking for short pieces of information. And some don't even have an English section at all.

We will try to be a proxy (mostly translated summaries) to many information already available on Government websites.

To make sure that the websites has even news and events that are interesting to the general public visiting the site, we will have a frequently updated news section.

How the site is organized

This website is organized in a very simple way:

• News (These will be news happening in the Swedish society, research and the business community)
• Guides (document targetting a specific subject)
• Tips (similar to guides but very short)
• Similarities (this tries to give equivalent institutions of what some were used to in their home country)

The content on this site is not supplied by any government institutions but is mainly based on experience of different individuals while living in Sweden.
